Save the Date – First Tenants Meeting
The first tenant meeting of the 1 Bogardus Tenant Association will be held on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2pm. To receive a Zoom link, please register on the events page. In the meantime, please take a moment to check out our First Tenant SURVEY! It takes just 2-3 minutes to complete, and will help us hit the ground running.

Intercom System Down
As of early January, it came to several residents' attention that the buzzer/intercom system for the entire building is not working. The Super is aware of the issue, but Management at A&E has yet to provide an update or a timeline for its repair. Under DHCR, this is called a "reduction of building-wide services," for which all tenants in the building may be entitled to a rent freeze or a rent reduction until the service is restored. More information will be provided at the first tenants meeting, which we encourage you to join.

37 Hillside Avenue Project
Just around the corner, 164 affordable housing units for seniors are coming to 37 Hillside Avenue, the site of the old Rocky Mount Baptist Church. The new site will supposedly be 9 stories tall, be eco-friendly (all electric, no natural gas), and it will host a larger worshipping space for the church, as well as a "multi-use performing arts space" on the ground floor.
